Larry D. Lentz

1950 - 2012

Larry Dean Lentz was born November 14, 1950 in Pendleton Oregon to Harold Adolph and Billie May Lentz.  Larry lived most of his life in Oregon and was a proud Oregonian.  Larry Married Jill Adams Ryan on December 16, 2005 in West Valley City, Utah.  That is probably the only reason he would ever have moved out of Oregon.  Jill and Larry were later sealed in the Draper Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints on July 31, 2010.  Larry worked in the medical field for many years.  Most recently Larry worked as a driver for UTA (Utah Transit Authority).  He enjoyed visiting with his regular passengers and took pride in keeping on schedule.  Larry loved to cook and was meticulous in his manners.  He was excellent around the house and loved keeping a good looking yard.  Even when his health did not permit him to do it himself, he made sure that things were taken care of.

Larry was an active and devoted member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.  He loved to go to church, sing, and otherwise participate in the spirit of those meetings.  He was a kind and giving man, and was loving and loyal especially to his family.  He was a point of contact for family communication, calling members of his family on holidays and other times to keep in touch.  Larry is survived by his wife Jill, his brother Mike Lentz, and his step children Scott (Jana) Ryan, Andrea (Matt) Sanders, Christy (James) Godsey, and Jessica Ryan.  He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Terry Puryer.

No obituary for Larry would be complete without mentioning his love for his dogs, the Oregon coast and the Oregon Ducks.  He was a very good man with a gentle heart and we will miss him greatly.
