Lillian "Angie" Owens Akkerman went to our Heavenly Father on September 15, 2011.  She was born June 25, 1948 to Raymond and Lillian Owens.  She married Wiecher Vic Akkerman in 1967.

Angie had a fun life and enjoyed hunting and fishing.  She worked for the Salt Lake School District.

Survived by her husband, Vic; daughter, Vickie (Mark) McGuire; sister, Lois Owens; 4 grandchildren, Claressa (Bobby) Lopez, Josh, Chris, and Ambreanna Moore; and 5 step grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, September 20, 2011 at the Valleyview Ward, 5180 W. 4700 S., where friends and family may call Tuesday 10-10:45 prior to services. Interment: Utah Veterans Memorial Park.  Online condolences: www.peelfuneralhome.com
