Lorenzo Glen Olsen

Lorenzo Glen Olsen, 96 passed away at home peacefully on Friday, June 12, 2026. Glen was born June 26, 1929 to Lorenzo Hans Olsen and Myrl Boyack Olsen. Glen was a miracle from the beginning. He was delivered by his father, in the back of a car, in the West Desert of Utah. After graduation from Spanish Fork High School, Glen joined the Navy where he was honorably discharged after four years. 

Glen married Janice Eliza Sperry Olsen on March 17, 1950. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple on March 17, 1966. They spent the next 67 years as companions and friends. Glen is survived by 3 children, 8 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife (Janice), his son (Steve), his daughter-in-law (Nicole), his parents, 2 sisters, 1 brother, and 1 great granddaughter. 

Glen was a devoted member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, where he served in many rolls including Bishop and Stake High Council. Glen loved his family and looked forward to spending time with them. He will be missed by all of us. 

Glen is an old farmer at heart. “For this one farmer the worries are over, lie down and rest your head. Your time has been and struggles enough, put the tractor in the shed…Hang up your shovel inside the barn; your work here on earth is done.”
