Margaret Peterson

Margaret Alice Monsen Peterson passed away peacefully January 10, 2015 in Magna, UT. She was born March 15, 1916 in Mount Pleasant, Utah to James Austin and Magnolia Larsen Monsen, and was the second oldest and last living survivor of six children. After her family moved to Magna she attended Cyprus Jr. High and Cyprus High Schools, and on June 12, 1933 she married Mono J. Peterson in Farmington, UT; he died in 1995. Margaret volunteered at the Pioneer Valley Hospital for over 37 years. She was a member of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers, and was active with the Magna Senior Citizens Center. She is survived by her children, Marian (Jerry, deceased) Bolton, Michael (Dorothy) Peterson, Jerry (Virginia) Peterson, and Robert (Judy) Peterson; and 9 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and 5 great-great grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband, parents, 5 siblings, 3 grandchildren, and 1 great grandchild. The family would like to express their thanks and gratitude to the staff at the Magna Beehive House for their years of care.
