Marilyn J. Fox, 90, passed away peacefully on August 29, 2025, in West Valley City, Utah. She was born on November 26, 1934, in Colby, Wisconsin, to Bohumil and Mary Cecilia Losket.
Marilyn was deeply loved and especially cherished by her husband, Duane Fox. Together, they shared many wonderful years and enjoyed spending time side by side. In later years, they found joy in line dancing, attending classes at the senior center, and being active in the senior community, where Marilyn made many lasting friendships.
Family was the heart of Marilyn’s life. She treasured her time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, creating special memories through family game nights—where she especially loved playing Rummikub. A passionate gardener, she spent much of her life tending to her plants and generously sharing her abundance with others.
Marilyn was also dedicated to lifelong learning. She attended Salt Lake Community College, where she earned an Associate’s Degree, a proud accomplishment in her life.
She is survived by her loving husband, Duane Fox; her son, Curt Ellis; her grandchildren, Andy Ellis, Britney Shaw, and James Ellis; and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Bohumil and Mary Cecilia Losket; her grandson, Tyler Ellis; and many other beloved family members and friends.
Marilyn will be remembered for her warmth, kindness, and the love she so freely gave to all who knew her.
