Marjorie Bice, 94, passed away on September 25, 2025, at the Spring Gardens Assisted Living Facility in Draper, Utah. She was born on March 23, 1931, on the farm in Clay County, Illinois, to George L. Luse and Ruth C. Thompson Luse. Marjorie married Charles Clinton Bice on June 10, 1951, in Flora, Illinois.
Marjorie was born on the farm, went to school in a one-room building, and helped her parents raise chickens, pigs, horses, and dairy cows. She graduated from both high school and the University of Illinois. Marge was very proficient at all types of sewing, especially quilting. Many of her quilts were entered in numerous quilt competitions and fairs, earning her many first-place awards. She went to work in the mail room at the Phillips 66 Petroleum Company and worked her way up to being a secretary in the executive offices of Phillips Engineering. Marjore joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at the age of 25 and remained completely faithful until the end of her life.
Majorie is survived by her children, Michael (Barbara), Susan Speirs (Joseph), and Thomas (Reina); eleven grandchildren and 37 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles C. Bice (d. 2015), her parents, two brothers, and one sister.
Graveside services will be held in Bartlesville, Oklahoma, on Friday, October 10, at 1:00 pm. Interment will be at the Memorial Park Cemetery next to her husband, Charles Clinton Bice.
