Michael Terry Powell

Michael Terry Powell, age 73, passed away peacefully at his home in West Valley City, Utah, on October 20, 2025.

Michael was born on February 15, 1953, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to parents Verna Black and Wayne Powell.

He is survived by his brother Larry and sister Charlene; his sons, Michael (Heather) Powell and Terry (Ariel) Powell; and his beloved grandchildren Kaden (16), Caysen (14), Mikaila (12), Jace (12), and Lillian (11).

Michael was a selfless man who consistently put the needs of his family and friends above his own. He was a hardworking perfectionist who made everything look easy and never left a project unfinished.

He found joy in life’s simple pleasures—watching classic western movies, reading about the Old West (history, fiction, and non-fiction alike), and exploring ghost towns.

Michael will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. His legacy of kindness, hard work, and quiet strength will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
