Our beloved wife, mother, sister, aunt, and grandmother “mama” was born on December 8th, 1969, in Murray, Utah, to Kimberly Elaine Hansen and Jackie Lee Elsbury.
Mikey (56) passed away in her West Jordan home on Wednesday, June 3rd, 2026, due to natural causes.
She spent most of her youth growing up in Sanpete County, Utah, building a love for the outdoors and animals. She enjoyed barrel racing, track, gymnastics, and cheerleading. As she grew, so did her family as she found her greatest challenge and joy through the birth of her boys, Joshua Allen and Justin Allen, and supporting their hobbies from avid sports to Rodeos. Many talk about how a mother would do anything for their children, and Mikey was one who did indeed do everything for her children. She truly showed up in every way she could for not just her kids, but to those she considered family. She never lost the enthusiasm to encourage and support others in any and all of their endeavors.
She enjoyed spending 40 years with her ride or die, Scott Allen Boone, married on June 30th, 1990, at their family cabin in Indianola, which was known as their second home, and spent as much time as they could there, no matter where they resided nearby, it was always known as a place for friends or family to gather.
She had hustle in her blood and was willing to do whatever it took to support her family. From serving tables as a young mother to a paralegal, as well as professional accounting at Ballard Medical, where she was able to gain experience to work for Magna Water district for 25 years until she retired in 2024.
She had a knack for taking what she was handed and making it into something great, especially meals, and no one could leave her presence with an empty stomach. She was known to catch and clean her fish quicker than the fellas, and anything harvested from the mountain was prepared and shared with all.
She believed life is a gift you are given and she showed it in everything she did and the way she carried an adventurous heart, four wheeling, riding horses, watching football, (rooting for her favorite team even though only her son, Justin, cheered for the Dallas Cowboys with her) and was a woman with style and class, who truly knew who she was and didn’t let anyone change her mind.
She was a stable place for a listening ear and lit up the most when she spent time with her grandsons, whom her world revolved around in the later years of her life.
Celebrating a long-awaited reunion with her son, Justin Allen Boone, who preceded her in death, as well as her parents.
She is survived by her husband, Scott Allen Boone, her son Joshua Allen (Marcie Lee) Boone, Her grandchildren Aiden Allen Boone (his mother Chantel Carroll), Makoy Justin Boone, Waylon Jax Boone, her siblings, Tauna Lee Ellis, Robyn Alders, Cindy Sandoval, Julie Hubbard, and her little brother Jackie Elsbury Jr.“JJ” whom she helped raise, and many nieces and nephews as well many she considered family.
