Mildred L. Dorn

Born May 3, 1952, in Ely, Nevada to Charles and Lily Marie Cox Parry Moates. Peacefully passed away in her sleep on April 15, 2023.

            Millie grew up in McGill, Nevada where she met the love of her life at a very young age. He was this tall, scrawny kid who always threw rocks at her. She attended White Pine High School and married her sweetheart on March 7, 1970. Later they were sealed for time and all eternity. They started their family in Ely, Nevada where they had two beautiful daughters.

            Some of mom’s greatest joys in life were her grandkids and great grandkids. She loved to craft, and she loved to bake. My mom was a very hard woman to love, but she loved so hard back. She loved her ward friends and considered them family. She served her neighbors and never hesitated to speak her mind when needed and was stubborn like no other.

            She survived by her daughter, Mary (Roy) Clarkson; granddaughters, Carly (Troy) Anderson, Ashley (Charles) Mills and Emily Clarkson; great grandchildren, Braxton, Rayleigh, Steven and Levi; sister, Eileen (George) Peel; brothers, John and Richard Parry; sister-In-Law, Donna (Larry) Ingle; and many nieces and nephews.

            Preceded in Death by her husband, Phillip Dorn; daughter, Shelly; her parents and 5 of her siblings.
