PAUL LEROY HARWOOD

Survived by his loving wife Cathy, his children Shauna (Dave) Prince, Jason P. Harwood, Norman Jr. (Lisa) Christensen, Brent R. Christensen, Ryan (Tonya) Christensen, Clint ( Kim) Christensen, 14 grandchildren and 18 Great Grandchildren.
As a young man. Grandpa played for the Salt Lake City Seagulls Ice Hockey Team at the old Hygeia Ice Rink from 1964 to 1967. He played the goalie position (#31) on the team. He later coached there before the Hygeia burned down in 1985.
He was a Military Veteran, having served in the United States Navy from 1965 to 1971. He served as a radio operator. Due to his service he was awarded the National Defense Medal. At the end of his full time service he transferred to the Navy Reserves for a time.
Paul’s hobbies included woodworking and his insatiable curiosity to discover how things worked. He was always good at putting his mind to work to solve a problem. He spent countless hours tinkering with electronics and fixing cars. He was always ready to help others with his knowledge and taught all the boys and grandkids how to work on cars.
Professionally, Paul built a successful and respected career in RV sales where he was recognized as a top salesman for nearly 50 years. He valued his relationships and took pride in helping customers find the right fit for their needs.
A viewing will be held from 10-11:30 am on Tuesday, June 30, 2026, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints Meetinghouse at 2811 S. 6400 West, West Valley City, Utah, 84128. Funeral Services will follow at 12:00 noon. Paul will be laid to rest at the Veterans Cemetery and Memorial Park, 17111 South 1700 West.
The family wishes to thank the staff at Monument Health and Rehab in Millcreek for their kindness in caring for our beloved Paul. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider a donation to the Michael J. Fox Parkinson’s Research Foundation or the Humane Society.
Paul will be remembered for his loyalty, his curiosity, his “hands on” approach and his deep love for his family.
