Robert Holm

Robert James Holm, 75, passed away June 5, 2026, in Magna, Utah. He was known affectionately by his family and friends as Bob. Bob was the second oldest to Frank Holm and Colleen Farnsworth, and was born on September 22, 1950, in Salt Lake City, Utah. 

He spent his childhood finding and cultivating his passion for cars, engines, and all things mechanical. He served his country with honors in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. Afterwards, he came back and met his always and forever sweetheart, Colleen Privett. After running away to Elko, Nevada to marry on November 29, 1979, they welcomed James Richard Holm in 1981 and Anne Marie Holm in 1985.

Bob's love for tinkering and machines led him to work in several industries where his talents could bloom and grow.

At home, he had his own room and garage set up to tinker on old engines or one of his vintage cars. However, his favorite "toy" was his Harley Davidson motorcycle. Many of his greatest adventures and stories came from his motorcycle rides. In September of 2000, Bob put down his last beer, and at the time of his death was 26 years sober; an accomplishment he was extremely proud to talk about.

Although he will be missed, we know that Bob was reunited with his family and is riding the roads of Heaven on his Harley.

Survived by wife, Colleen; son, James (Rebecca) Holm; daughter, Anne (Jason) Liswood; 7 grandkids; brother, Don Holm; sisters, Lucy (Grant) Walker and Linda (Jack) Strickland; and many well-loved nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by his father, Frank Holm; mother, Colleen Farnsworth; brother, Frank D. Holm; sister, Shirley Hill; father-in-law, Alvin Privett; mother-in-law, Lela Privett.

A viewing will be held on Monday, June 15, 2026, from 6:00-8:00 pm at Peel Funeral Home. 8525 W. Magna Main St., Magna, Utah. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, June 16, 2026, at 10:00 am at Utah Veterans Cemetery. 17111 1700 W, Bluffdale, Utah.
