Robert Lynn McKellar

Bob, 72 passed away peacefully surrounded by his loved ones on May 9th, 2026 in West Valley City, UT.

He was born on August 22nd, 1953 in Salt Lake City, UT. His parents, Joseph and Connie McKellar.

Bob married Debbie on May 1st, 1976 in Kettering, OH.

He met the love of his life on a blind date through his Navy best friend; her brother and his mom chaperoned. He enjoyed his 16 years of service in the U.S. Navy as a Jet Mechanic, spending time with his family, at his cabin and outdoors hunting and fishing. His hobbies were owning and watching birds, getting tattoos, collecting antiques and elephants, rummaging pawn shops, wood working, and sending funny reels/videos to his children and grandchildren.

Survived by his bird, Zoey; his loving wife of 50 years, Debbie; sons, Forrest (Missy), Foster (Melece); grandchildren, Taylor, Trenton (Cher), Darian, Teigan (Kennedy), Debbie, McKenzie (Caleb), Hailee (Colby), Bailey (Jake), and Colton; great grandchildren, Cashton, Dreven and Archie; sisters, Brenda, Cathy and Zebbie (Rapid); brother, Mike; mother-in-law, Kay; brother-in-law, Steve (Sandy); and sisters-in-law, Bonnie and Patti. 

Preceded in death by father, Joseph; mother Connie; brother, Perry; aunt, Birdie; father-in-law, Rob; and brother-in-law; Donnie. 

A Celebration of Life will be held at the V.F.W. 9057 W. 2700 S. Magna UT, on May 23rd, 2026 at 3pm.
