Scott Jason Holt

Scott Jason Holt, 65, passed away on August 17, 2026, in Provo, Utah. He was born December 17, 1960, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to LeRoy Alvin Holt and Beverly Slater Holt, the third of their seven children.

Scott was a quiet man — until you got him laughing, or sat him down in front of a TV or a movie, and then the commentary never stopped. He had a big heart and would give you the shirt off his back without a second thought. He worked as a welder at Aerotech for over 30 years, until his health forced him into early retirement. He came to see that season as a second chance — one he used to reconnect with his family and with his faith. He loved the outdoors, especially camping and fishing, and would have fished all year round if he could.

Scott is survived by his siblings, Teresa (Matt) Sellers, Steve (Delcy) Holt, Blake Holt, David Holt, Andrea (Boyd) Dial, and Tara Holt, along with 18 nieces and nephews and 27 great-nieces and great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.

He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him, especially his brothers and sisters. Until we meet again, brother.

A private celebration of life will be held.
