1973-2024

Shawn, 51, passed away on April 28th, 2024 in his home in South Jordan, Utah.

Shawn was born in February 16th, 1973 in West Valley, Utah to Cathy Anderson and Richard Kelsey.

Shawn was someone who could intimidate, joke, and love, all within the same breath.  When he loved, he loved harder than anyone.  He was protective, loud, fun, and when he would tell a story he used his entire body to tell that story, acting out the action so you would not miss a thing.  Shawn often shared posts on his Facebook saying he lives his life by the quote "Accept what it is, let go of what it was, and have faith of what will be".  His close family and friends were all too familiar with that quote.

Shawn's family knew that they did not have to be afraid because he was scarier than anyone or anything that could hurt them.  His heart and love could be felt in the things he did and enjoyed, from his love of music to his passion projects like his motorcycle, from his partying to sharing with others over social media.  Shawn was a lover, and a big softie, and his presence as father, brother, and son will always be felt.

Shawn is survived by his mother Cathy and father Richard, his brother Troy and sister Tara, his kids Marissa, Taysia, and Landon, and by the rest of his large family.

Shawn was preceded in death by his grandmother Emma and grandfather Jay, and his uncles Mike and Cal.

The celebration of life for Shawn will be held at Glenmoor Golf Course in South Jordan on Friday May 17, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM.
