Sheila Perkins Redmond, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on the evening of January 31, 2026.
Sheila was born on March 6, 1942, in Murray, Utah, to Albert Jay Perkins and Georgia May Perkins. She grew up in Utah and graduated from Cyprus High School, where she formed friendships that would last a lifetime. Remarkably, her close group of friends continued meeting monthly from the time of graduation until her passing—a testament to her loyalty, kindness, and enduring love for those around her.
On March 17, 1961, Sheila married her sweetheart, William Stewart Redmond, in the Salt Lake Temple. Their marriage was one of love, deep devotion, faith, family, and together they built a home centered on love and service.
Sheila started working in the computer lab at Lehi Junior High in 1993. She became a registrar in 1999 and worked until 2016.
Sheila was a devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served faithfully throughout her life and was especially known for her love of music. As a frequent ward organist, she shared her talents by playing hymns during meetings, quietly uplifting and comforting many through her music. She also taught many how to play.
Above all else, Sheila cherished her family. She found great joy in being a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, and her home was a place of warmth, acceptance, and gentle encouragement. She will be remembered for her steady faith, her generous heart, and the calm strength she brought into the lives of those who knew her. She will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered.
Sheila is survived by her daughter, Linda (Mike); sons, Mark (Brenda), Mike, Matt (Tiffani), and Mitch (Hellen) Redmond; 23 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren; her sister, Susan (Steve) Dennis; and her brother, Doug (Cheryl) Perkins.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, William Stewart Redmond; and her son, Russell Redmond.
A viewing will be held Saturday, February 7, 2026, at 10:00 - 10:45 a.m., followed by Funeral services at 11:00 a.m. at the Highland 19th Ward, 9621 N. 6050 W., Highland, Utah.
