Sherry Mae Chacon

March 1958 – September 2022

Our Loving Mother and Nana Sherry, peacefully passed away

in the early morning of September 26, 2022, at the age of 64.

Sherry was born in Townsend, Montana to Fredie and Margie Pickering.

Sherry found most of her joy in life being a Nana to her 16 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.

She also loved her animals, cooking, crafting, family gatherings, holidays, and camping in the mountains.

Sherry was a very organized housewife and mother who along with her late husband Alfred Chacon (married September 1987) raised 5 children together. After his passing in 2012, she found a passion volunteering and working at Life Church taking care of the gardening, greeting visitors, and working in the daycare with children. She also worked as a lunch lady and a childcare teacher until 2020.

Sherry was diagnosed with Glioblastoma Brain Cancer Stage 4 November 2020 and was determined to not let it take her happiness or faith in her loving Jesus and she did just that.

Sherry was preceded in death by her first-born Patty-Jo, parents, husband Alfred, Son-In-Law Jake, Brother Duane, and many other loved ones.

Sherry was survived by her Grandson Joseph, Children Marcus (Jamie), Elizabeth (Joel), Carlos (Stefanie), Tonia (late husband Jake), Mike. Siblings Constance (Rod), (Late)Duane (Wanda), Frederick (Diane) Numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorial Services will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday, October 8, 2022.
