Steve was born on October 23, 1967, in Cottonwood, UT, to Richard (Dick) and Linda Pederson. He was the 1st of 2 children. He grew up in Rose Park, UT, and attended West High School. Shortly after, he met Erika Walton, and they had a son, Erik Stanley Pederson. He later met Jennifer Butcher and became a bonus parent to his daughter, Shaylee Butcher. Some years later, they married and had a daughter, Alissa Sue Pederson, in 2004, and later divorced. Steve spent his life mastering his career as an electrician, working for many contractors throughout the years. He was a very hard worker who was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Steve was outgoing and friendly—he always knew someone wherever he went, and if he didn’t, he was quick to make a new friend. He loved golfing, the outdoors, camping, riding four-wheelers, and cheering on the Minnesota Vikings—SKOL!

Steve is survived by his father, Richard Pederson (Dick); sister, Tammy Ballard; son, Erik Pederson (Christina); daughter, Shaylee Butcher (Richard); daughter, Alissa Pederson; grandchildren, EJ Pederson, Arrietty Martinez, Cruz Pederson, and Andre Pederson; nephews, Austin and Hunter.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Linda Sue Peach; his Grandma & Grandpa Kelley; uncle, Bruce; brother-in-law, Mike Ballard; and close friend, Dominic Archibeque.

Our family would like to extend a special thank you to Lawrence and Helen Roybal for being there for our dad throughout the years, especially during the final days of his life.

A viewing will be held on Saturday, January 3, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., followed by a funeral service from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m.Services will be held at:
