SUSAN CLARKE

1945 ~ 2022

Suzi Clarke was born on her mother's birthday, November 18, 1945.  She was born in Hollywood, California (something her sisters always envied).  She was the third of four daughters born to her parents, Robert and Vera Clarke.  Suzi was a beauty.  As a child she had golden blond hair and big brown eyes.  Her nose was sprinkled with a few freckles.  She was always happy.  She was generous and always willingly shared anything she had with her sisters.  Suzi was fun loving and always had a lot of friends.  Her dad was an airline pilot so the family moved quite often, living in San Francisco, New York, and Los Angeles.

Suzi graduated from Camarillo High School in 1963 and went to BYU for one year.  She was married for a short time, but the marriage ended in divorce.  She then enrolled in beauty school and worked as a beautician for many years.  She also worked for Pleasant Hawaiian Holidays, American Express, and Discover Card.  Suzi loved to crochet and she loved her cat, Scooter.  Suzi was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

She was diagnosed with breast cancer several months ago.  Her doctor determined that she was not healthy enough to tolerate chemotherapy, but might benefit from radiation therapy.  She had just finished six weeks of radiation and it certainly took its toll.  She passed away about two weeks after her last treatment.  Suzi was preceded in death by her parents and her oldest sister.  Her two remaining sisters, Jan Boice of St. George, UT and Lonni Clarke of Annabella, UT will miss her very much.
