Teddie Lynne Warr

July 26, 1942 — September 10, 2022

Teddie Lynne Harman Warr – 80, passed away at home on September 10, 2022 of pancreatic cancer with her husband by her side.

Teddie was born at Holy Cross hospital on July 26, 1942 to George Edwin (Ted) and Zola Rasmussen Harman.  In 1958 she met and fell in love with Gary Warr.  She waited for him while he served an LDS mission to the Great Lakes region and they married on January 12, 1962.  They made their home in Granger, just 4 houses from where Gary was born and raised.  They started a family and soon had two sons, Shane and Adam.  It was then they decided to build onto their little house where she lived up until her passing.  Elizabeth was born after the house was complete.  Teddie loved to decorate and make her house pretty.  Her purple bedroom is legendary throughout the area.

Teddie was an active and faithful member of the LDS church and served in many callings, but her favorite was working with the youth; particularly the young women.  She was an excellent teacher and she enjoyed imparting wisdom whether it was how to uniformly fold towels or file your taxes.  Everything she knew was shared with others.  She also very much enjoyed being the bishop’s wife and biggest supporter.  They both enjoyed his calling as bishop.  She loved visiting families and helping everyone celebrate their birthday.  They’re important milestones.

Teddie enjoyed reading of all authors but liked LDS authors and historical novels the best.  The house is still filled with books.  She loved to sew and make things with her hands – she made 4 wedding dresses, all beautiful.  Many people that knew her benefited from her talents.

Teddie loved traveling and was able to visit nearly all the US states, several places in Canada and even Europe.  Her favorite being Estonia.  She would like to have seen southern Europe, but time ran out.  In all her travels, she always loved to come home to the Utah mountains.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 17, 2022 at Granger West 4th Ward at 1:00PM with a visitation one hour prior.  Visitation will also be held on Friday, September 16th from 6:00PM – 8:00PM, also the church - 3305 South 3960 West, West Valley City, Utah.
