Valarie Ann Yeates, loving wife of Ra, mother of Ashley Ann, Dakota Ra, Stetson Lee and grandmother of Maddex Brent Dylan Alder passed away Sunday March 6, 2016 in her home in Magna, UT.

Daughter of Ann and Brent Banta and Carey Bowen, Valarie Bowen was born on October 12, 1973 in Rexburg, ID. Val married Ra on February 9, 1991 in South Jordan. She soon returned to school and received her high school diploma becoming valedictorian of her graduating class. She received her Associates of Applied Science with a major in Accounting from Salt Lake Community College in 2004. She loved working in the accounting department of various businesses, crafting, softball, camping trips to the lake, and curling up with a good book.

Val is received into the loving arms of her daughter Ashely Ann, dad Brent and grandparents. She is survived by 5 siblings, 5 step siblings, many in-laws, nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held 12 p.m. Thursday, March 10, 2016 at Peel Funeral Home, 8525 West 2700 South Magna, UT 84044. Viewing from 11:00 AM to 11:45 AM. Burial at Pleasant Green Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, money for funeral expenses would be appreciated.

Val’s happy spirit, beautiful smile, and sarcastic but quirky sense of humor will be missed by all who knew and loved her!
