WIECHER "VIC" AKKERMAN
1946 ~ 2019
Wiecher “Vic” Akkerman was born Feb. 22, 1946 in Groningen, Netherlands to Wiecher Akkerman and Jantie (Jean) Luttmer Akkerman.
Vic joined his wife of 43 years Lillian Owen's Akkerman on July 31, 2019.
He is survived by his daughter, Vickie McGuire; granddaughters, Claressa Lopez, Ambreanna Moore; grandsons, Joshua Moore, Christopher Moore, Mason McGuire; and great grandson, Bobby Lopez.
He was a very active outdoorsman, he collected coins, and like to pan for gold after he retired from the Salt Lake Board of Education grounds crew.
Graveside service will be held Friday, August 9, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at the Utah Veterans Memorial Park, 17111 South Redwood Rd. There will be no reception and no viewing.
We will miss him, Goodbye.
