William Scott Hayda

William Scott Hayda, age 69, passed away peacefully on May 21, 2026, at St. Mark's Hospital, surrounded by loved ones.

Scott was born on June 11, 1956, to Bill and Marilyn Hayda. He is now reunited with his parents and his sister, Kathy Smith (Hayda).

Scott is survived by his two daughters, Rachel VerHoef and Tamra Hayda; his four beloved grandchildren, Tanner and Charlee VerHoef, and Skyler and Addison Hayda; his brothers, Allen Hayda and Richard Hayda, and Richard’s wife, Desi Hayda; his brother-in-law, Guy Smith; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who will miss him dearly.

Scott loved fishing, football, poker, and, most of all, spending time with family. He especially enjoyed family gatherings and backyard BBQs and was always ready for a good card game — especially if money was involved. His cranky sense of humor, loud shout-outs, and larger-than-life personality brought laughter and memories to everyone around him.

Scott will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him. Though he may be gone from our sight, his laughter, stories, and love for family will remain in our hearts forever.
