ARTHUR AGUAYO

1942 ~ 2021

Arthur A Aguayo, 78 of West Jordan, passed away July 25, 2021. He was born in Gamerco, New Mexico on September 1, 1942. Arthur graduated from East Carbon High School and received an associate degree from The College of Eastern Utah. Arthur was married to his wife, Shirley Aguayo, for 36 years.

Arthur served in the Army for 3 years. He had served in the Vietnam war. During his time in the service, he was awarded 2 purple hearts.
Arthur is survived by his wife, Shirley Baum Aguayo; his sisters, Delores Sandoval (Virgil), Gloria Barela & Marie Brown (Sharon); his children, Tennysen Castanuela (Efrain), Mandy Moynier (Cory), Dain Aguayo (Gina), MaryAnn Aguayo (Chris), Steven Jackman (Stacie), John Jackman (Mel), CJ Jackman (Cassi), Kaylynn Schiffman (Ryan) & Robert Jackman (Bri); 22 grandchildren & 1 great grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his father, Abel Martinez Aguayo & his mother, Jessie Torrez Aguayo.

Funeral Mass is scheduled for 11:00 AM on August 2nd, at St Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 4501 W 5215 S, Kearns, UT, 84118. A visitation will be held Sunday, August 1, 2021 at Peel Funeral Home, 8525 W. Magna Main St. He will be buried at Mount Calvary Catholic Cemetery, 275 U St, Salt Lake City, UT 84103.
