1925 ~ 2019

Carol Siders Nelson, 94 passed away peacefully at home, November 10,2019.  She was born October 4, 1925 in Bingham Canyon, Utah to Paul Siders and Mary Josephine Wilson Siders.

She was funny and fun. She loved thrifting, sewing and crocheting, bingo, dominoes and playing cards, and trips to Wendover. She was a long time volunteer at the Kearns Senior Center and attended there daily for lunch with her many friends. She was always part of the little skits, performances and activities at the center. She loved Halloween and always came up with the most elaborate costumes and made them herself. She enjoyed life and loved spending time with her family. She was such a fun Grandma and G.Grandma. She will be so missed by all.

She married Wade C. Nelson on October 21,1942. Together they had four children, Gary (Jolene) Nelson, Lynda (Keith) Bingham, Sandra (Buddy) Olson, Scott (Norma) Nelson; she had 13 grandchildren, Lori, Michelle, Ryan, Joe, Gary, Darin, Denise, Kimberly, Paula, Donnie, Danielle, Angie, Brent; 29 great grandchildren, and many great great grandchildren.

She is survived by her children and their spouses, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren; sister, Judy Palmer; brother, Larry Siders; and sister-in-law, Delores Nelson; and many nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by her husband, Wade Nelson; grandson, Joe Wade Dodge; great grandsons, Joshua Grant Sweet, Brock P.B. Burbidge, Cody Wade Nelson; brothers, Paul, Russell, Eugene; and sisters, Betty and Dorothy.

The family would like to thank her Hospice team and a special thanks to  her daily aid, Tara who gave her loving care and mom loved her. Also thanks to her grand daughter, Danielle who stepped in when needed and helped with her care.

Graveside services will be 2:30 pm Friday November 15, 2019 at Valley View Memorial Park, 4400 West 4100 South, West Valley City. A visitation will be 12 – 2 pm Friday at Peel Funeral Home, 8525 West 2700 South, Magna.
