Edward Howard Beckstead

1965 ~ 2021

Known as Big Ed , Passed away on March 9, 2021. Born May 12, 1965 to Howard D And Loie Sue ( Florence ) Beckstead.  He was raised in West Valley City, UT.

Survived by his parents; sister, Geri (Wade) Christensen; niece, Nashlee (Dustin) Barker and their children, Emma and Rex; nephew, Crosby (Rachel) Christensen; his life partner, Rochelle (Rhea) Fox and her four sons, Dillan, Cody, Bryce, and Conner. Also many other family and friends .

Ed was a gentle giant that wore his heart on his sleeve. Ed was loved by everyone he met including dogs.

Growing up camping in the North Fork, fishing, riding motorcycles in the sand dunes, going to movies with dad riding on the back of his motorcycle. July fourth celebrations at Grandmas. the Magna parade Spending time with grandma Helen enjoying their favorite ice cream .Many other great parties with family and cousins.

As a teenager Ed helped coach Geri's softball team was was lovingly called bam bam. Always the protective older brother Ed kept an eye on Geri and they have a very special bond.

Ed loved spending time in Oregon with his Aunt Ann and Uncle Johnny they enjoyed camping and watching football games together.

Ed was a Giants fan also a Utes fan. One of his best memories was the Fiesta bowl. Ed had many good friends. Spending time with Scotty at Defa's! New Years Eve at Ricky's! Many concerts and good times with many friends, Live music was Ed's favorite !!!

Ed met Rochelle (Rhea) Fox 5 1/2  years ago and shared many adventures together! I love you Ed and thank you for putting up with me and being my best friend.

Ed was a dedicated Eagles member and loved the Eagles motto of People Helping People.

A private visitation will be held Saturday, March 13, 6-8 p.m. at Peel Funeral Home.

A celebration of life will be held Saturday March 20th at the Salt Lake Fraternal Order of Eagles, 1104 W. 2100 S. Salt Lake City, UT 84119, between 2-4 p.m.
