May 27, 1961 — July 1, 2021

English, Spanish below:

Jorge A. Peña Oscoy better known as “Tio Jorge” passed un-expectantly on July 1, 2021. Even though he was abruptly taken from his family this never stopped him from living life to the fullest. He was a loving brother, son, but above all a loving father to all his nieces and nephews he called his “kids”. He was a shining beacon and always loved to be the life of the party.  While a failing heart took him away from this world, his loving heart left a beacon of light for his entire family and friends alike.

Our uncle had many passions, his biggest was cooking for his family. He was the best cook, always treating his loved ones to a good meal. He loved making carnitas for his family and was amazing at cooking them. He enjoyed creating his own culinary plates, he was always creating new plates for his family to enjoy at different events.

Tio Jorge’s cheerful attitude and bright smile will be greatly missed. He had the most contagious laugh and could always make a room laugh with a great story. He would never miss an opportunity to dance at a party. He LOVED to dance, at any event you could always find him enjoying drinks, laughing but most of all dancing!

By trade our uncle was a painter, he worked for nearly 20 years a Keene Coatings. He was a meticulous person that was always willing to work short or long hours and was never scared of a challenge. He was a perfectionist and was always an active person. Every job he worked on, he did it did with perfection in mind and always wanted to do things right the first time.

He is survived by his wonderful two sons: Juan B. Peña & Felipe B. Peña, loving Sisters: Pilar Peña Oscoy and family, Maria Felix Peña Oscoy and family, Irene Peña Oscoy and family, Juana Peña Oscoy and family, Aurora Peña Oscoy and family, and his eldest Brother Jaime Peña Oscoy and family. Countless more Nephews & Nieces will always remember him in life as he was. He is preceded in death by his Father: Daniel Peña Ramirez, Mother: Andrea Oscoy Jimenez, Sisters: Mercedes Bosquez & Lina Peña Oscoy.

We will always love you & cheerfully remember you Tio Jorge. While you may be gone from this earth we will cherish you dearly in our hearts. Thank you for all of the wonderful memories you left us with, these are our most precious treasures. Until we can dance and laugh again.
