NADINE WILLIAMS

1933 - 2020

Nadine was born December 6, 1933 to Rulon T. and Elsie Millar Williams.  She was born in her grandmother's home and had a hard birth.  She was unconscious  the first week of her life.  Her mother would pat her tiny feet which would make her suck, and get the milk she needed.  She passed away December 5th, one day before her 87th birthday.

Nadine has gone through her life physically handicapped on her left side, but she learned to walk, roller skate, and during her teen years, ride a bicycle.  She was treated at the Crippled Children's Service of St. Mark's Hospital for two years.  She had an operation on her left arm which was successful, as she could straighten her arm which she had held rigid.  Her thumb used to be tucked under her fingers and now it was out, so she could use her hand a bit.

Nadine attended Magna schools for eight years and then had a teacher in her home  for High School.

Nadine attended a vocational school where she learned to type with one hand and take shorthand, but no one would give her a job.

Years later she received her Temple Endowments in the Logan Temple.

When her parents died she was left with the family home and enough money to take her through life.

She was preceded in death by her  parents, a baby brother and a sister, Nancy Greer.  Her remaining sister, LaWana Brimhall, took care of her when she became ill with kidney failure.

Nadine had three nieces, Holly, Diane, and Lisa, and four nephews, Ryan, Michael, Eric, and Andy, who loved her very much, and she loved them.

There will be a private family viewing on Friday, December 11th, at 7:00 at Peel Funeral Home, 8525 West Magna Main Street (2700 South), Magna, Utah.  Please wear masks and practice social distancing.

A graveside service will be held December 12th at 1:00pm at the Pleasant Grove City Cemetery.  Please wear masks to keep us safe and healthy
