Pat Fivas

January 24, 1948 — January 9, 2020

Pat Fivas is finally at peace after passing away on January 9th at 7:30 pm. after a long struggle with brain cancer, surrounded by his loving family. Pat was born on January 24th, 1948 in Murray, Utah to parents Ramona and Ephraim and he was raised and loved by Stan and Ramona Fivas. Pat married Diane Gillett in 1966 in Lakepoint, Utah and the two have been happily married for 54 years. Pat was a loyal employee of U.S. Magnesium for many years, working as a maintenance mechanic.

Pat didn’t think he could love anything more than being a dad until he became a grandpa. Then, when he became a great-grandpa for the first time with Raiden, the two developed a deep bond with one another, with Raiden often being found cuddled up in his Grandpa Pat’s lap anytime he would come over. He passed along many important skills onto every one of his children and grandchildren, like how to play different sports, to fix broken down cars, and to love one another in spite of anything.

Pat is survived by his wife Diane (Gillett) Fivas; his children Pat, Renee (Robert), Melisa (Cliffton), and Treena (Christopher); his grandchildren Branson (Maranda), Nikolas, Kayley, Skylar, Shandon, Shiane, Reyna, Zoe, Cash, Traiton, and Braxton; his great-grandchildren Raiden, Akhilles, and Ahviiana; his siblings Stanley, Jimmy, Calvin, Ephriam, Joanie, Bud, and Gene; and many other loving friends and family members.

He was preceded in death by his dad Stan, his mother Ramona, his sister Janet, his father Ephraim, and his grandson Jordan.

There will be a celebration of life held at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church (8575 S 700 E, Sandy, UT 84070) on Saturday, January 18th at 11:00 am.
