Robert Dea

Robert Kevin Dea

10/8/1956 – 4/29/2021

Kevin was born on October 8, 1956 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Ida and Robert Dea and passed away at his home on April 29, 2021 surrounded by loved ones and his cat Chica.

Kevin grew up in Magna, Utah and graduated from Cyprus High School in 1975. He worked at Kennecott Copper for 31 years and retired in 2013.

Kevin had four children Robbie, Heather, Alisha and Janie whom he absolutely adored and worked tirelessly for, for the majority of his life.

Kevin loved all things outdoors; hunting, fishing, camping, four wheeling and riding his Harley. He was a diehard Green Bay Packers fan. He loved to laugh, crack jokes and have fun.

Kevin was a selfless man, he had a heart of gold and was the epitome of a father, best friend, and the rock of his family and friends. He always put his wants and needs aside to help and take care of everyone else.

Kevin is preceded in death by his parents Robert L. Dea, Ida Lee Dea, ex-wife Pam Dea, niece Melissa Rocha Tapia, grandparents Robert and Lavon Dea and Robert and Helen Norris.

Kevin is survived by his loving family Robbie Dea (Bridget), Heather Mamales (Jeff), Alisha DeLuna (Damian), Janie Dea (Jesse) and his grandchildren, Cadence, Addison, Kayla, Blayklee, Ashley, Nazim, Saydi and Sapheria, sisters Debra Rocha, Becky Ovendon (Steve), Sandy Fjelsted (Claire) and many nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank Elevation Hospice for the care and compassion for Kevin and his loved ones.

A visitation will be held May 8th from 11:00 a.m. to 12 noon with a memorial service at 12 noon at Peel Funeral Home, 8525 W. Magna Main St., to anyone who would like to attend.
