Bob passed away on December 2, 2019 peacefully in his sleep. He was born on September 19, 1939 to Orville P. and Florence Grames Safford in Price UT where he spent his days until he proudly served in the Navy. He then married Sharlene Lloyd Safford June 21, 1963 and they later divorced. Later he married Cherie Gerber on September 8, 1990. Together they enjoyed traveling the country, especially to Lava Hot Springs and Fort Bridger Rendezvous as well as Laughlin NV. Cherie passed in November of 2008. Bob enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson every chance he got. He was so full of life and was known for his spit fire attitude. Later in life, he enjoyed trips to Mesquite with dancing, BBQ’s in the backyard in the company of his girlfriend Linda Boyd.

Bob is survived by his children whom he dearly loved; Evelyn (David) Anderson, Karen (Alex) Sosa, Robin (Tony) Thayer, Kim (Chris) Black, Will (Kersten) Safford, Bobby Safford, Roger Safford, Brad (Jamie) Argyle, Jeff Argyle, Mindy Evans, Korynn (Gene) Weideman, 40 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren, brother, Larry O. Safford, sister, Paulette E. Sykes.

He was preceded in death by his Parents, Orville P. and Florence Grames Safford, Stepfather, David Safford, Brother, Dennis Safford, Ex-wife, Sharlene Lloyd Safford, Wife, Cherie Gerber Safford, Son, Robert James Safford Jr., Walt Argyle.

A celebration of life will be held Thursday December 5th from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM for friends and family at Peel Funeral Home, 8525 W. 2700 S. Magna, UT 84044. Graveside services will be 11 am at the Camp Williams Memorial Park, 17111 S Camp Williams Rd, Bluffdale
