Wilford Chatterton

June 12, 1926 — September 21, 2021

Wilford “Dee” Chatterton passed away peacefully holding his sweet wife of 73 years hand on Tuesday, September 21st at the age of 95.

Born June 12,1926 to Ernest and Johanna Strobelt Chatterton.

Married Marie Andreason April 8, 1948. Sealed in the LDS Temple on June 9th, 1960. Dee owned and operated Chatt’s Barbershop and served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He also kept an immaculate yard and received multiple Beautification awards. Dee was known for his kindness, love for his wife and family, his good-natured spirit, and humor.

Dee is survived by his wife Marie, two sons Randy (Terry) and Edward of West Valley City.

Grandchildren: Tyler (Amber) Chatterton, Travis (Kim) Chatterton, Leisa (Gordon) Batt, Jenny (Sean) Casey and Bryson Chatterton. 12 Great Grandchildren and 2 Great-Great Grandchildren

Preceded in Death by his parents, his brother Robert, and Beautiful Granddaughter Aubrey Chatterton.

A short viewing will be held Monday, Sept 27th from 11am-noon at Peel Funeral Home 8525 W 2700 S Magna, UT. It will be followed by a graveside service beginning at 12:30pm at Valley View Memorial Park 4400 W 4100 S in West Valley City.
